Our Alliance Lorneville Plant is located near Invercargill in the South Island of New Zealand. We process sheep, cattle and deer in one of the largest meat processing plants in the country.

Climate and Weather:
In Southland, during the months of December, January and February you are most likely to experience good days with pleasant average temperatures that fall between 20 degrees Celsius (68°F) and 25 degrees Celsius (77°F). The coldest month is July with an average maximum temperature of 8 degrees Celsius (46°F).

Seasonal Process Workers

Our Southland plants are gearing up for a big 2025–2026 season, and we’re looking for motivated people to join our team at Alliance Lorneville.

We are currently recruiting for skilled Butchers and Boners and motivated labourers for day and night shift.

  • Day shift: 7.00am–4.30pm (Labourers from 7.30am)
  • Night shift: 5.00pm–2.00am

If you’ve got previous experience — great!
If you’re new to the industry and keen to learn, even better.
We’ll provide all the training you need to get up to speed and succeed.

Te Tūranga | The Roles

We’re hiring for multiple full-time seasonal roles to help us process, package, and prepare quality products for our customers around the world.

  • Labouring roles can vary from working in the yards, on the processing chain, or in packaging and labelling areas. You’ll be part of a team that keeps production moving and maintains high standards of quality and safety.
  • As a Butcher Boner, you’ll use your knife skills to prepare product to specification, bone and trim carcasses, and ensure our high-quality standards are met. You’ll work as part of a skilled team, focused on efficiency, safety, and quality

You’ll need to be:

  • Eligible to work in New Zealand
  • Able to pass a pre-employment drug test and medical assessment
  • Physically fit, reliable, and committed to safe work practices
  • Hold valid photo ID (Driver Licence, Passport, or Birth Certificate)
