Climate and Weather:
Temperatures are mild compared with the rest of the country, with the region’s close proximity to the sea resulting in a relative lack of extreme high and extreme low temperatures. Temperatures exceeding 30°C are rare in coastal areas.
Nelson receives plenty of sunshine, particularly in Nelson City where average annual sunshine hours (approx 2,400 hours) are among the highest recorded in New Zealand.

What are the hours for shifts at Nelson?
Shift start/finish times vary by department, dayshift generally 6am – 4pm and afternoon shift generally between 4pm – 2am.
Do you employ workers from outside New Zealand?
No we are currently not employing workers from outside New Zealand.
What is the closest city to Nelson?
The Alliance plant is located at Stoke, which is on the outskirts of Nelson city and on the way to Richmond. You can find accommodation in Nelson, Richmond, Motueka or in the smaller surrounding townships and rural areas.
