Meat Process Workers
Alliance Group is seeking motivated and reliable individuals to join the processing team at the Pukeuri Processing Plant in Oamaru for seasonal opportunities for the 2026/27 season.
Positions are available across a range of processing roles, including General Labourers, Boners, and Butchers. Positions are available on both day and night shifts within a large multi-species processing facility.
Full-time seasonal employment is offered with competitive earnings, comprehensive training, and opportunities to develop your career in New Zealand’s primary industries sector.
Key responsibilities
- Perform processing duties across a variety of tasks within a multi-species operation
- Work on day shift (7.00am – 4.00pm) or night shift (5.00pm – 2.00am)
- Work Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays during peak production periods
- Maintain commitment to workplace health and safety
- Work as part of a team committed to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
About you
- Be legally entitled to work in New Zealand
- Be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and medical assessment
- Have a strong commitment to workplace health and safety
- Be physically fit and capable of performing manual work
- Be reliable, motivated, and committed to attendance
- Enjoy working as part of a team
- Be able to provide valid proof of identity (Driver Licence, Passport, or Birth Certificate)
- Previous experience in the meat processing industry is advantageous but not essential
Benefits
- Guaranteed minimum rate of $29.09 per hour for General Labourer positions (inclusive of allowances)
- Higher earnings available for skilled Boners and Butchers, including additional allowances
- Minimum 30 hours per week, with opportunities to work up to 45 hours per week
